Each morning the chickens need to be let out of their coop. The big chickens will come out and roam around, the three little chickens will go into their small enclosure. I use the cloth box "chicken transport" to carry them. You need to be sure there are no big chickens in the small enclosure or they will walk up the roof of the small coop and jump out. Make sure their food and water is full.

The big chickens need their coop door propped open by putting the stick above the hinge. Then braced from opening too far with the thin board.

They have a 5 gallon water outside the cool, and a blue water bottle inside the coop. The red one is fine, but check the blue one to make sure it has water. There are two more blue ones on the table on the porch if you need to refill.

We collect eggs once a day in the evening. I left little egg carton on the counter. I also left a checklist so you can record how many eggs you get each day. I have found it is easiest to take two of the egg carton out to collect eggs.

The chicken food is in the right most bin in the entry way to the house. There are two feeders in the big coop, one in the small coop, and one that we keep under the sticks outside. Make sure at least one in the big coop, the one in the small coop, and the one under the sticks have food.

In the evening, I usually let the chickens out of their enclosure for the last hour or so of the day. This allows them to roam around and eat more grass etc. This isn't required. As they start to get ready for bed they will start making their way back into the coop. At this point their may be a straggler. If that is the case you can walk them back into the coop. They will walk ahead of you so if you go slowly it shouldn't be too bad. The little black frizzle hens will need to go up in the egg box (top left). Because it's been hotter recently we've not been putting the pillow in to block them in. You can or not.  Also, the little white rooster (Blondie) that likes to be around them has quit sleeping in the box and just puts himself inside up on the top. Once everyone is inside close the main door (taking out the stick in the hinge), latching it with the metal latch and then turning up one of the wooden blocks at the bottom of the main door.  Their should be 15 total chickens, 5 big black, 4 big white, 2 red, and 1 gray, plus the 3 small frizzles.
